(DEC. 2008) BERENDSEN NORWAY has purchased Transvision Route Planner to optimise the distribution and collection routes between customers and laundries.
The system will be used to optimise the master routes for Berendsen Norway’s 75 drivers collecting and delivering e.g. textiles and door mats. Besides master route planning, the system will be used to maintain the routes by securing an optimal inserting of new customers and ad hoc orders into the master plans.
Berenden Norway chose Transvision Route Planner, naturally because of its ability to efficiently optimise master routes, but also for its strong functionality within service day optimisation. The system is equipped with an advanced service day assignment functionality, that based on information about allowed visit patterns and frequencies for the customers, makes it possible to select the optimal visit day for each customer.
Transvision Route Planner will be integrated to Berendsen’s ERP system that again will forward the daily routes to Consafe Logistics’ mobile solution, ControlTransport. In ControlTransport the drivers will be able to see their routes, and report their work-progress back to the office systems during the day.
