(JAN. 2006) RENOFLEX HAS invested in Transvision’s IT-system for transport planning Transvision Route Planner.
Renoflex is one of the larger companies within the waste collection industry in Denmark. Renoflex’s waste collection is complicated by multiple restrictions prevalent within the industry - for example time windows, multiple waste products, and variations in material and vehicle capacity.
Transvision Route Planner creates routes around such restrictions when generating master plans for the drivers. The system also has extended capability to plan routes over extended time cycles. It is now possible to optimise customer visit frequencies and establish optimal collection days by zone - which provides a powerful ROI for this industry.
In the first phase Transvision Route Planner will be used for the waste route movements. The system is integrated with WM-Data’s ERP-system VASIT, which is based on MS Business Solutions, through which the system receives the orders. In the optimisation process the system finds the most cost effective visit patterns while simultaneously generating cost effective routes and creating a final master route plan for roll out.
The plan is that Transvision Route Planner will optimise the master route plan every quarter. Within this period new orders are received in VASIT and placed on different routes until the next tactical optimisation process takes place.
The vision is that Transvision Route Planner will be integrated with Transvision Fleet Planner and a mobile solution. A unique part of this combination is that Transvision Fleet Planner can be used for planning of waste container movements.
