(MAY 2006) RENOFLEX HAS DECIDED to integrate Transvision Route Planner with Transvision Fleet Planner and mobile communication.
In January of 2006 Renoflex invested in Transvision Route Planner to be able to create the most cost efficient routes and visit patterns for the waste collection. Now Renoflex has decided to integrate Transvision Route Planner with Transvision Fleet Planner to be able to monitor the execution during operation.
Transvision Fleet Planner is also now being rolled out on the container division to optimise the container movements in real-time. When the drivers start the day only 70 % of the orders are known in this division and the last 30 % are received during the day. This kind of dynamic order-intake demands a system like Transvision Fleet Planner, which can handle dynamic and real-time based transportation planning.
The drivers are now equipped with a mobile solution based on PDA’s and GRPS communication. Through this the drivers receive the tour lists and give status reports back to the office. They register when they arrive at a customer’s place, when they leave, have delays, etc. Afterwards, the registrations are entered into Transvision Fleet Planner for data collection or re-planning.
Through Transvision Fleet Planner Renoflex are now able to perform an ongoing background planning throughout the day and is therefore able to react quickly to customer inquiries and urgent orders while keeping transportation costs low.
Transvision Fleet Planner is integrated with a mobile solution from Cappit, CapFleet and WM-data’s ERP and order-taking system, VASIT.
